Service Description
5-2-8 Rapid Trauma Release is a focused 3-hour, hands-on workshop that teaches a simple, gentle “no-talk” energetic bodywork technique to help regulate the nervous system and release “held” stress responses linked to current and past experiences. When stress keeps the body in fight/flight/freeze for extended periods, it can contribute to ongoing physical and emotional strain. This method integrates energy-body activation with nervous system regulation and does not require recalling, talking about, or re-experiencing the source of stress—making it useful when someone isn’t ready, or it isn’t appropriate, to discuss sensitive details. ORIGIN: Developed by osteopath André Dückers (Netherlands), taught to Madeline McBride (England, July 2023), then brought to North America and enhanced with energy system activation taught by Qi-Matic Healing Master-Instructor James Foo (Toronto, ON). The course is recognized by ACNN for training hours. WHO IT’S FOR: Any adult—no prerequisites. Helpful for parents, practitioners, and those in healing modalities (e.g., Reiki, Therapeutic Touch, Theta Healing, acupressure/acupuncture, reflexology, Energy Medicine, EMDR, EFT/Tapping). No massage table required. YOU WILL LEARN TO: - Identify an emotional/traumatic issue to clear - Activate the energetic body and central nervous system - Apply the procedure with a practice partner (and experience it yourself) - Disconnect energetically and clear released emotions from the room WHEN TO USE IT: After physical trauma (falls, accidents, surgery), during/after traumatic life events (loss, disaster, illness of a loved one, etc.), and for relationship-based emotions (anger, grief, guilt, fear, betrayal, worry). To ensure a safe, supportive learning environment and meaningful instructor guidance, class size is limited to 8 for partner practice and individual support. Note: This technique is not a replacement for counselling. Serious psychological concerns (including abuse, mental illness, or addiction) should be addressed by a licensed professional. PRIVATE WORKSHOPS AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST: Minimum 4 participants, maximum 8. Workshops outside St. John’s: +$25 to help cover travel expenses.
